As fans know, Cardi was in talks to perform alongside headliners Maroon 5 at this year’s Super Bowl, however, the gig was ultimately given to Travis Scott and Big Boi after negotiations with Cardi allegedly fell apart. The “Twerk” rapper though is still very much so a part of Football’s biggest night, as she joined the long list of esteemed superstars to star in Pepsi’s iconic Super Bowl ad campaign. On Monday (January 28), ahead of its big debut during Super Bowl Sunday, Pepsi released their 2019 Super Bowl ad starring Cardi as wells as Steve Carrell and Lil Jon .
