Nigerian Afrobeat sensation announces that his piping hit single ‘Calm Down’ has outpaced 1 billion streams across all music platforms.

On Monday, 7th November, during his performance at the O2 Brixton Arena in the United Kingdom, Rema announced that the hit single has surpassed over a billion streams across all music platforms.

Furthermore, ‘Calm Down’ made its release on February 11th, 2022, as one of the lead singles off the music star’s debut album ‘Raves & Roses’. The single would go on to enjoy wide acceptance and numerous recognitions that earned it a Top 5 spot on TurnTable Top 100.

Similarly, the music video of the hit single highlights the song’s popularity as it reached 100 million streams barely three months into its debut. It also earned over 173 million streams on Audiomack and Boomplay.

In addition, the star teamed up with American Pop star Selena Gomez for the remix of the hit single. The remix has emassed over 141 million streams on Spotify.

The news of ‘Calm Down’ surpassing over a billion streams across all platforms does not come as a surprise as the song has enjoyed massive success since its release.
