Meek Mill, Jada Pinkett, Tank, And More React To ‘Surviving R. Kelly’
Musicians and celebrities are speaking up in light of Lifetime’s latest docuseries, Surviving R. Kelly. Celebs across all industries are pulling the plug on the disgraced R&B singer, who has been accused of preying on, molesting, and abusing young black girls and women.
The docuseries aired six, one-hour episodes over the span of three days at the beginning of Jan. 2019. The series explored R. Kelly’s past behavior throughout his 20-year career. The show then delved into present-day, where the singer has been accused of imprisoning several women in his homes in Atlanta and Chicago.
Following the airing, a handful of celebs have been sharing their reactions online. Most of them appear to be mutually disturbed by the allegations and the numerous accounts of abuse told by survivors. Artists like Tank apologized for supporting Kelly throughout the years, while Jada Pinkett Smith questioned why this behavior had ever slipped through the cracks.
Not everyone was moved by the series however. Master P offered some criticism in regards to the parents of the victims, suggesting they were negligent or not as aggressive as they should have been in getting their children back.
